European University Cyprus receives an increasing number of staff mobility requests from other universities, inquiring about training or teaching visits at our institution. These requests may be directed to a specific department or received through the Erasmus Office. The decision to accept or decline a staff training or teaching visitor lies with the department concerned, based on their discretion.<\/p>\n

The hosting department holds the responsibility of organizing a program that aligns with the visitor’s interests. Planning the program and hosting the visit requires a significant time commitment.<\/p>\n

Interested Visitors should: <\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Visit the EUC website (Our People – European University Cyprus at euc.ac.cy) and identify the faculty\/department you wish to visit.<\/li>\n
  2. Contact the relevant person within the faculty\/department to initiate a discussion regarding common teaching, research, or training interests.<\/li>\n
  3. Once the dates of the visit have been agreed upon, the Teaching Program should be prepared, outlining the specific activities and objectives of the visit.<\/li>\n
  4. After receiving the confirmed Teaching Program, an invitation letter from the host faculty\/department will be sent to the visitor via email.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Eligibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Visiting staff must be employed by an Erasmus partner institution of European University Cyprus with which there is a specific agreement for Staff Mobility.<\/li>\n
    2. Financial support for the visit should be provided by the visitor’s home institution.<\/li>\n
    3. Visitors should ensure they have adequate medical insurance coverage during their stay in Cyprus.<\/li>\n
    4. It is important to note that all arrangements for the visit must be made at least a semester prior to the intended visit.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”OUTGOING STAFF FOR TEACHING” _builder_version=”4.17.3″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]\n

      Erasmus+ offers a great opportunity for academic staff to teach in one of our partner institutions.\u00a0 Teaching mobility can only be undertaken to another HEI which holds an ECHE (Erasmus+ Higher Education Charter) and with which EUC holds an Erasmus+ Inter-institutional Agreement.\u00a0 It provides an opportunity to combine a teaching visit and also meet with our outgoing students during their exchange and address any issues that may arise.<\/p>\n

      \u00a0<\/strong>Facts:<\/h6>\n
        \n
      1. Travel must take place between 1st July and 30th September (of the following year).<\/li>\n
      2. The duration of the activity can be from 2 days to 2 months, excluding travel<\/li>\n
      3. The teaching activity must comprise a minimum of 8 hours of teaching per week (or any lower period of stay)<\/li>\n
      4. The mobility activity should be carried out in any Program Country different from the country of residence.<\/li>\n
      5. Only full-time faculty should apply<\/li>\n
      6. Priority will be given to applicants that have never participated in the Program<\/li>\n
      7. An Erasmus inter-institutional agreement should be in place with the Host University.<\/li>\n
      8. Candidates should submit a request for Erasmus leave to the HR Department through Exelsys, well in advance.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
        EUC\u00a0Erasmus+\u00a0Teaching\u00a0Mobility\u00a0Procedure\u00a0&\u00a0Documents<\/h6>\n

        Before the Mobility<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Invitation letter<\/strong> forwarded to you by the Host Institution. The dates of your mobility should be clearly mentioned. It could be an invitation email.<\/li>\n
        2. Staff Mobility for Teaching Mobility Agreement:<\/strong> The document should be completed in agreement with the Host Institution.\u00a0 It should be signed by both Host and Home Institutions before the mobility takes place.<\/li>\n
        3. Detailed Daily Program of the visit:<\/strong> the minimum of 8 teaching hours<\/strong> per week<\/strong> should be covered during your visit.\u00a0 Please note that any free days within your visiting program may be considered as \u201cinterrupted days\u201d and may not be funded by the Erasmus+ Program.<\/li>\n
        4. Grant Agreement of Staff Mobility for Teaching<\/strong> will be sent to you by the Erasmus Office once the Staff Mobility for Teaching Mobility Agreement is duly signed. The Grant Agreement <\/strong>should be signed before the mobility.<\/li>\n
        5. Bank Accounts details:<\/strong> name of the bank, SWIFT Code, IBAN<\/li>\n
        6. Departure air ticket and boarding pass:<\/strong> Please note that the travel allowance concerns only your departure from Cyprus (sending Institution\u2019s location) to your mobility destination and not from any other country.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          After the Mobility<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

            \n
          1. ERASMUS Teachers\u2019 Mobility Certificate:<\/strong> The document should be signed by the Host Institution by the end of your mobility and submitted to the Erasmus Office.<\/li>\n
          2. Online Final Report\/EU Survey<\/strong>. By the end of your mobility the European Commission will send you via email the Online Final Report, which you should complete and submit online. The soonest you submit it, a PDF of the completed form will be sent to your email.\u00a0 You should forward the PDF to the Erasmus Office.<\/li>\n
          3. Teacher\u2019s Report:<\/strong> The document should be completed and submitted to the Erasmus Office by the end or your mobility.<\/li>\n
          4. Arrival air ticket and boarding pass:<\/strong> Both arrival and departure should be submitted to the Erasmus Office upon your return to Cyprus.<\/li>\n
          5. Photos of your trip.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            General Information<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

              \n
            1. Please note that your mobility is subject to the approval of your Erasmus leave from the HR Department. <\/strong><\/li>\n
            2. In case you would like to terminate your mobility plans, the Erasmus Office must be informed immediately in writing.<\/li>\n

              Erasmus+ training periods support the professional development of HEI staff. The training period may be in another HEI or any other appropriate organization.\u00a0 A host HEI for staff training does not need to have an Erasmus+ Inter-institutional Agreement with European University Cyprus.<\/p>\n

              \u00a0<\/strong>Facts:<\/h6>\n
                \n
              1. Training may be in the form of job shadowing, observation, attendance at workshops or courses.<\/li>\n
              2. Travel must take place between 1st July and 30th September (of the following year).<\/li>\n
              3. Staff should be full-time employees of EUC and CC.<\/li>\n
              4. priority will be given to staff who have never undertaken an Erasmus Staff Training mobility.<\/li>\n
              5. The recommended minimum duration of staff training mobility is 2 days (excluding travel time) with each day having a full schedule of training.<\/li>\n
              6. Attendance of conferences will not be funded.<\/li>\n
              7. The Erasmus grant is not intended to cover the full cost of the trip.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
