The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euraxess.es\/spain\/services\/human-resources-strategy-researchers-hrs4r\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018HR Excellence in Research\u2019<\/a>\u00a0identifies the institutions and organizations, which are providers and supporters of a stimulating and favourable working environment for researchers. A list of the HRS4R Acknowledged Institutions can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/euraxess.ec.europa.eu\/jobs\/hrs4r\">https:\/\/euraxess.ec.europa.eu\/jobs\/hrs4r<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This recognition reflects the commitment of European University Cyprus to continuously improve its human resources policies in line with the <a href=\"https:\/\/euraxess.ec.europa.eu\/jobs\/charter\/european-charter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Charter for Researchers<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/euraxess.ec.europa.eu\/jobs\/charter\/code\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers<\/a>. These two documents, addressed to researchers as well as to employers and funders in both the public and private sectors, are key elements in the European Union\u2019s policy to make research an attractive career, which is a vital feature of its strategy to stimulate economic and employment growth.<\/p>\n<p>The Charter &amp; Code are compatible with the University\u2019s aim to create and sustain a stimulating research environment for researchers at all stages of their career regardless of their contractual situation. Since the ratification of the EUC Research Policy by the University Council in November 2015, the development and adoption of a Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) has been a major priority.<\/p>\n<p>The HRS4R process consists of three distinct phases:<\/p>\n<p>Phase 1: Submission of application and initial granting of the HR Award<\/p>\n<p>Phase 2: Implementation of the Initial Action Plan, Interim Assessment and development of \u00a0\u00a0the Extended Action Plan<\/p>\n<p>Phase 3: Implementation of the Extended Action Plan, Site Visit and Renewal<\/p>\n<p>Having completed the self-assessment on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euraxess.es\/spain\/services\/open-transparent-and-merit-based-recruitment-researchers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OTM-R (Open, Transparent and Merit-Based Recruitment) Checklist<\/a>\u00a0and having developed the Extended Action Plan based on the Interim Assessment, European University Cyprus is currently at the beginning of Phase 3.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/euc.ac.cy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/EUC-Initial-Action-Plan.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EUC Initial Action Plan<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/euc.ac.cy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/EUC-OTM-R-Checklist.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EUC OTM-R Checklist<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/euc.ac.cy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/EUC-Extended-Action-Plan.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EUC Extended Action Plan<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/euc.ac.cy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/FINAL-OTM-R-POLICY.pdf\"><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">EUC OTM-R Policy<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">The \u2018HR Excellence in Research\u2019 award enhances our efforts to attract and sustain a critical mass of research talent in the University, and more broadly in Cyprus.<\/span><\/p>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In September 2017, European University Cyprus was awarded the \u2018HR Excellence in Research\u2019 logo.
