Aside from their responsibility to maintain a high standard of academic performance, students must also respect the rules of the University and the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. They must also ensure that all fees due to the University are paid on time. Students who fail to meet their financial obligations may have their registration cancelled or be denied the opportunity to register at the University in the future, and may have their degrees, grades and\/or transcripts withheld.<\/p>\n

It is the responsibility of every student to notify the Office of the Registrar or his\/her Advicor, of any changes in their name, address, or major. <\/span><\/p>\n[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Class Attendance” _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]\nStudents are expected to attend all scheduled sessions for the courses for which they have registered. Being late to class may be recorded as absence. Absence is also recorded in laboratory or practical sessions. Unjustified absences will affect the final grade. In cases of personal or medical emergency, permission for absence must be sought from the course instructor. In all cases, students are responsible for compensating for missed course work.<\/p>\n[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Confidentiality of Student Records” _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]\n
The student’s academic records are confidential. However, authorized persons by the student and governmental institutions may be provided with copies of a student\u2019s academic records. <\/p>\n[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Degree Programs” _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]\n
European University Cyprus awards Bachelor, Master and Doctoral (Ph.D., Ed.D, D.A, and D.B.A) Degrees.<\/p>\n
\n- A Bachelor degree – requires 240 ECTS -360 ECTS and can be completed over a period of 4\u2013 6 years.<\/li>\n
- A Master degree – requires 90-120 ECTS from approximately 12 courses, and can be completed over a period of 18 months to 2 years.<\/li>\n
- A Ph.D. degree requires 180 ECTS and can be completed over a period of 3 years or more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

In the case where a student believes that the grade received is different from what was expected, he\/she must exhaust all possibilities of resolving the problem with the pertinent instructor first. If this does not lead to a resolution, the student may appeal against the grade by filing a petition with the Office of the Registrar.<\/p>\n
The Registrar will forward a copy of the petition to the Chairperson of the pertinent Department, who will first ascertain that no error was made by the instructor, and will assign an anonymous re-evaluation of the final examination\/project to another instructor. In the case of major discrepancy between the instructor\u2019s evaluation and the re-evaluation that will require change of grade, the average of the two evaluations will be assigned as the final grade to the final examination\/project. Changes of grades resulting from an appeal require the endorsement of the Dean of School.<\/p>\n
For a petition to be reviewed, a student must appeal within four (4) weeks from the date the results are announced and pay the appropriate fee of \u20ac34.<\/p>\n[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Graduation Ceremony” _builder_version=”4.17.3″ global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]\n
Students wishing to participate in the University\u2019s annual Graduation Ceremony must fill in an application with the Student Affairs Office before the end of the Spring Semester. All eligible students will be informed.<\/p>\n
Undergraduate Programs: <\/strong>Minimum Completion of at least 210 ECTS\u00a0or\/and pending only courses which will be completed in the upcoming fall semester\u00a0except for the Pharmacy degree: 270 ECTS, the Medicine degree: 360 ECTS, and the Dentistry degree: 300 ECTS<\/p>\nPost-Graduate <\/strong>Programs:<\/strong>\u00a0Minimum\u00a0<\/strong>Completion of at least 60 ECTS except the Master\u2019s in Special Inclusive Education and Clinical Psychology where eligible students will receive relevant information from the Office of the Registrar.<\/p>\nFor more information on the Graduation Ceremony, contact the Office of Student Affairs.<\/p>\n

To be eligible for honors, students must complete at least 120 ECTS for a 240 ECTS degree at European University Cyprus. Only ECTS gained at European University Cyprus are considered in the award of graduation honors.<\/p>\n

Undergraduate<\/strong>:<\/strong> 240-360 ECTS<\/li>\n<\/ol>\nPost-Graduate<\/strong>:<\/strong> 90-120 ECTS<\/p>\n\n- Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.00 (for Undergraduate<\/strong> Programs) or 2.50 and above (for the Post-Graduate<\/strong> Programs) for all ECTS earned at EUC.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
\u00a0Undergraduate students<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- Complete at least the last two years, 120 ECTS in residence at EUC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
