Violations of the Code bring disrepute to the University, affect the entire University community, and will thus be punished.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Plagiarism:<\/strong> Presenting someone else\u2019s work as one&#8217;s own is not permitted under any circumstances.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cheating<\/strong>: Receiving unauthorized help before, during, or after examinations is not permitted under any circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>Cases of plagiarism, cheating, and other forms of academic dishonesty or unethical behavior are reviewed by the School Council Chaired by the Dean of the School. Aside from their responsibility to maintain a high standard of academic performance, students must also respect the rules of the University and the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. They must also ensure that all fees due to the University are paid on time. Being late to class may be recorded as absence. Absence is also recorded in laboratory or practical sessions. Unjustified absences will affect the final grade. In cases of personal or medical emergency, permission for absence must be sought from the course instructor. In all cases, students are responsible for compensating for missed course work.<\/p>\n[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;Confidentiality of Student Records&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]\n<p>The student&#8217;s academic records are confidential. However, authorized persons by the student and governmental institutions may be provided with copies of a student\u2019s academic records.&nbsp;<\/p>\n[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;Degree Programs&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]\n<p>European University Cyprus awards Bachelor, Master and Doctoral (Ph.D., Ed.D, D.A, and D.B.A)&nbsp;Degrees.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Bachelor degree &#8211; requires 240 ECTS -360 ECTS and can be completed over a period of 4\u2013 6 years.<\/li>\n<li>A Master degree &#8211; requires 90-120 ECTS from approximately 12 courses, and can be completed over a period of 18 months to 2 years.<\/li>\n<li>A Ph.D. degree requires 180 ECTS and can be completed over a period of 3 years or more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;Final Exam Review&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]\n<p>In the case where a student believes that the grade received is different from what was expected, he\/she must exhaust all possibilities of resolving the problem with the pertinent instructor first. If this does not lead to a resolution, the student may appeal against the grade by filing a petition with the Office of the Registrar.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;The Registrar will forward a copy of the petition to the Chairperson of the pertinent Department, who will first ascertain that no error was made by the instructor, and will assign an anonymous re-evaluation of the final examination\/project to another instructor. In the case of major discrepancy between the instructor\u2019s evaluation and the re-evaluation that will require change of grade, the average of the two evaluations will be assigned as the final grade to the final examination\/project. Changes of grades resulting from an appeal require the endorsement of the Dean of School.<\/p>\n<p>For a petition to be reviewed, a student must appeal within four (4) weeks from the date the results are announced and pay the appropriate fee of \u20ac34.<\/p>\n[\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=&#8221;Graduation Ceremony&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.3&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]\n<p>Students wishing to participate in the University\u2019s annual Graduation Ceremony must fill in an application with the Student Affairs Office before the end of the Spring Semester. Only ECTS gained at European University Cyprus are considered in the award of graduation honors.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>CLASSIFICATION OF THE CUMULATIVE GPA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;The Bachelor Degree students cumulative GPA is classified as follows:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;GPA: 2.00 \u2013 2.32 &#8211; Good<\/p>\n<p>GPA: 2.33 \u2013 3.32 \u2013 Very Good<\/p>\n<p>GPA: 3.33 \u2013 4.00 \u2013 Excellent<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Graduate degree students cumulative GPA is classified as follows:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;GPA: 2.50 \u2013 2.99 \u2013 Good<\/p>\n<p>GPA: 3.00 \u2013 3.49 \u2013 Very ECTS<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Post-Graduate<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> 90-120 ECTS<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.00 (for <strong>Undergraduate<\/strong> Programs) or 2.50 and above (for the <strong>Post-Graduate<\/strong> Programs) for all ECTS earned at EUC.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Undergraduate students<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete at They will be assigned an \u201cF\u201d as a final grade if they have not completed course requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fall and Spring Semesters:<\/strong>\u00a0End of 10th week of classes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summer Session:<\/strong>\u00a0End of 3rd week of classes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Right of Withdrawal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The students have the right to withdraw from their enrollment at the University within 14 days without providing any explanation, according to the Consumer Protection Law. The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day after the enrollment.<\/p>\n<p>Students who request to withdraw must inform the University of their decision through a clear statement before the withdrawal period expires.
